Damn clever how u ve managed to cover up the made in Brasil bit !!!!!!!!!!
BTW that jig is awesome, Kevin tried to demonsrtate it to me soon after he got it, when Richard was nt there ....................think hes still looking for the on/off switch!
well it's pretty much finished at Kevin the painter's now, just a few finishing touches then I can start putting it back together again!
It was a tough decision to go with the factory 'werks' black look especially in the engine bay, but I'm glad I did. It's a beautiful deep satin Glasurit rally black, it makes it look really mean and it seems to be doing 150mph stood in the spray booth.
The undersides of the hood and engine lid look pretty special too, can't wait to get them on.......
cheers, Mike.

I noticed that.. you must have done some painting in the past.. anything to had in the spray shop at the time.. My mate has spent £1000's buying all the booths and gun and yet some how he has never spent £15 on a set of step ladders
Mike this thread must have missed me by but I have just spent the last hour going though it all well done it's looking even better than when I last saw it at the Fairmile BBQ..
Well done and do you fancy any more underseal removal I have a 54 that just needs little bit more taking off , and as you seam so good at it..
thanks Mark, I don't think underseal removal is a job I will be doing again soon, if at all, ever.......!
In the meantime back to the detailing, just got the calipers back from the anodisers, couldn't resist putting one together for a trial fit.
cheers, Mike.

Mike,
Fantastic work and that includes the car - any chance of letting me know where the 930 calipers were anodised as I have a set that need attention.

to do the calipers do you need to fully split the halfs Mike?
Only I have a set of 911T ones I am about to bolt onto the 912 with vented discs and could do with making abetter job of it, rather than just bolting them on..
I mean since you , Alan UK and Nick Moss make the cars look newer than when they came out the factory I am feeling left out I want some bling for the 12
but really do I have to fully strip them right down to get them plated?
Mark, they have to be fully stripped as different metals require different finishes. You will want to take out the pistons and protect the bores during blasting, then rebuild with new seals and so on.
cheers, Mike.

I have rebuilt calipers before, but every one said don't split them?
something about resealing them afterwards.. or some thing.. anyway I thought it must be able to be done.. Might do these 911T ones then I know they are all like new again..
