I noticed the radio FM range won't cover the English language station down here - terrible as it is... That's going to be a real trauma.

Didn't they come with eight-tracks as an option? :P Surely you must be able to find some Sacha Distilled down there in't Med?
Personally I've sorted an MP3 loop of 'Days like these' by Matt Munro, which I will listen to continuously for a week before I go for my first drive. :drunken:

Cheers,

Steve.

Car looking great BTW, keep 'em coming!

Ah, the dulcet tones of Slasher / Edith / Johnny Hallyday rolling out of the windows whilst cruising the seafront in Cannes - how beautiful that would be....

I have a good contact in Manchester who refurbs and sells old classic car radios; perhaps I'll give him a call and see what he's got in stock.

Nothing new this week so far - next set of progress shots due at the weekend.....

Just checked, the No1 song in the UK charts when 0024 was delivered was My Ding-a-ling! Another classic.

Latest progress shots - 18th March, she'll be finished and ready to go.
I have to wait another 3 weeks before going to make the collection though.... frustrating!

He did a couple for me in the past - a real nice chap and not too badly priced compared with all this glitzy modern stuff....!

Thanks for that - she ran up this week for the first time and everything was great with a special emphasis on the gearbox...

The paint still has to be polished off - it's currently as it came from the paintshop - and the suspension has to be set up correctly.
The steering wheel is just one they use to move the cars around the shop - I thought it looked a little 'used' in the photos....

5 weeks tomorrow, I shall be on the way up to Germany - I can't wait now!

5 weeks - the short time I had to wait for mine was time standing still - and that was over Christmas: Not sure my heart would survive 5 weeks of that!!!
The car looks fab. You must be very proud putting up the photos and reporting all those little details. Well done 8)
