How many layers of paint?!!!!

Ok I stripped my bonnet of paint over the weekend.
I counted seven different paint schemes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who can beat that ?


INterestingly- the original paint was still on- and remained untouched by chemical stripper............. :shock:

grey(primer) -Blue (original)
Black
Silver
Gold
Maroon
Lime green (?!)
Yellow.

No wonder the thing had a crack down it!!
(no rust at all, thank the Gods!)

With a little creative sanding that would make one hell of an rat-look art car, if that Targa is anything to go by..

Yeh, it also makes an excellent way to lower the car !
I am sure mine sits about 3 inches higher now all that filler's gone :wink:
