Noise like Niagra -'72 Oil Tank

Hi,

My car only has 2 pipes to the oil filter console. The bottom left on your diagram from the pump and the middle right which goes as the diagram without the red and blue bits. The two pipes to the cooler are blanked off at the tank and the console. Your blue bit is incorrect.

Yes that looks right.

One theory on the noise is if the bypass valve is open, the filter constriction the flow, so oil will flow with more pressure into the tank and any air in the system could make it louder.
