After much searching round and many phone calls  I have found us a nice place which is actually the editors choice from the local newspaper food reviews 8)

http://www.theconistonhotel.com/dining.php

I need to confirm numbers at the beginning of next week.

Menu is their 'select' menu & will be £24.50 (ish) for 3 courses + extras. We need to select in advance.

I'm going to book to eat around 8.00pm ( if anyone feels it should be earlier let me know ) :)

I'll post up menus once i get them

15 of us so far

James
Mike & Hayley
Doug & Marlies
James & Tracy
Ian
JohnM & Julie
Helen & Larry
Bert
Phil?

It is their signature menu, but I've been told its is different to the one on their website. The chef is preparing a new one as we speak, which is getting emailed over to me.

BTW, I believe this place is where the Land Rover Experience bases itself & quite a few of the classic car rallies go through the grounds.

Additionally, for anyone thats interested in MG's and their racing history, I'll have details of a talk on that subject which is taking place on 31st Jan 2008 in my village :)

Mick, sorry to see you can't attend; I suspected already that the weather would be a bit to crusty for you  (hides for cover)
