I think Jo might have some more female company! Marie wasn't too impressed by the idea of 350 miles in one day

Bootsy: there is a batch of the Southern contingent grouping at the Fairmile at 10:00 am, in readiness for a 10:30 departure for Yorkshire.

There was some discusion re: the route, which as things were left, looked as though may well be settled on the day. Unless a route is settled beforehand, it may be a case of being in contact via mobiles, and meeting ad-hoc somewhere on the way?

Mind you, what do I know, I'm merely ballast for the passenger seat of the Ferrymobile  .

Mike,
I have just booked a double room at the Netherwood in Grange for Monday night as well. Anyone else who wants to stay there had better be quick - they mentioned they have only 2 rooms left.

Just thought I would drop this in. On Sunday at knockhill My freind and his father will be racing a 1975 carrera rs (lightweight with lexan windows), and a 1980 911 with 1973 rs running gear in the historic class races. Dont know if you guys will be in the vacinity of Knockhill on sunday, but thought I'd mention it to you.

On a personal note, i was hoping to meet some of you at Volksfling and introduce my car, but this is looking unlikely. Front dampers are knackered completely on the 14 (still has original 34 year old factory issue ones fitted........apparently).
1973 Porsche 914 1.7 (914 EWP) (sold)

A great big 914 shaped void.

Do you recon they had an orange mix up ... and I got yours, twice..

anyway.. I am going to use the orange one on Jo's side for the trip and I they are going to change them over once I come back from the Scottish Trip.. Still stunned how they got me orange ones in the first place.. I said to him " How do you think ORANGE is going to work with my trying to keep the interior looking as orginal as possible ??? " The most I said to him about ORANGE was I want the modern Black receptical with the orange button over the chrome buckel type... stress!!!

Is it a good idea to have a list of Mobiles ?

also any one else going up to Yorkshire later in the day..

Will be leaving Southampton about 1.30-2pm going up to Northampton the back way. Eg Oxford and bit of M40 to Northampton and then M1 all the way up north, prob hit M1 about 4.30 at Northampton.

I'm driving up after work on thursday Mark.. gonna be a late one....

Not sure where staying just yet, I need to work out how far I can get in one evening. I might aim for a travelodge or something in the Harrogate area, in order to link up with the convoy heading from PJMT's place on friday....

We are stopping at Phil's so, we will be going at a steady pace on the way up eg 60-65mph I would rather take my time on the way up and puddle and then on the way back I can put my foot down..So you could catch us up.. As Jo says she is ready for 2pm more like 3-4!! We have to stop at Northampton as we have sold our other house up there and need to do some paper work to keep the ball rolling.......

Still not finialised what we're doing on thursday timing-wise, but I might book the Harrogate Holiday Inn, and join the convoy in the morning
