Just checked the weather... Ok might be slightly out on the day but Metcheck is normally very good..

Friday is going to be rain .... not too much 3mm and Sat Sun and Mon are ment to be sunny with some mixed cloud very little chance of rain... lets keep our fingers crossed..

Oh and I just want to say on the day we are ment to be doing 350miles , I think we will go off and do our own thing.. bit much for Jo and I. If there is a shorter route and any one else wants to join in let us know..

Not wanting to break the group up but if there is plans for a shorter route eg we follow the main group for a major part and then we stop for lunch and then truddle back on our own I'm happy for that..

Why is it suppliers are all MUPPETS!!!!

this changes EVERY thing... if I can't get seatbelts fitted to the car by Tuesday then it's off and all this hard work comes to an end because of some DH

looks like the Audi is coming out the Garage!!! what a huge let down...

Pop down to the local motor factors quick and order a set of securons, even if only as a temporary measure. You don't want to be doing this trip in a Audi :)

Don't forget there's this:
Sunday will be a long day if you do the full route of 350 miles.
A shorter alternative is also planned
So has got to be worth seeing what distance / route there is before ducking out of the planned routes for the Sunday. Either way, the whole event looks as though it's going to be fantastic, and even now it's pretty clear that Mike and Brendan have put a lot of effort in already  , thanks in advance chaps :) .

If you check out the itinery again you can see there is an alternative route planned for those who don't want to do the full whack. We thought there might be 50/50 split so you will be in good company. Quite understand with the family on board. There will be a lengthy lunchtime stop where your little uns can stretch their legs and get some fresh air.
We were always very aware that this trip would involve a lot of driving........the Highlands are huge and we are only going to scratch the surface even with a full day out. For those doing the full day the extra miles are superb. The 'long' route includes this

As a Scotsman, I can totally recommend getting as far north as possible, it's like a different country the further you go 8) .

It is worth it ,if you can put in the miles :) .

I think my wife might decide to stay @ Loch Tay on the Sunday and do a walk around the Loch .. which means I'll be able to do the 'long' drive 8)

Hopefully I'm collecting the car today too :)

James get her to forget the walk around the loch. Just behind the loch is 8 munroe's (mountains over 3000ft) and I know people how have done six of them in one day! She could get a lift or walk up the Ben Lawers visitor centre and then do Beinn Ghlas (3619 ft) and Ben Lawers (3983 ft). Mind you she would be in bed by 8pm

Tom, apologies I haven't been on the forum for a while - but as per previous offer who's staying over at mine on Thursday? 8) Also, who's staying nearby and coming over for the evening?

Depending on what time you're all arriving on Thursday, I planned to light the BBQ and perhaps put Le Mans on the DVD afterwards?

Looking forward to seeing you all in a few days 8)
