Paint codes
I am just about to pick the colour, and will be trying to go back to the orig colour. Can anyone tell me if you find the paint code any where else on a 1972 911 body. It has lost its tag and has been painted white. I think it should be POR66 a blue colour. Can anyone tell me where to find Glasurit paint charts?

Paint codes
My car is a very late 1972 it is a 1973MY car would there be any other blues ? is there any other clues as to its paint code on the body ?nick-moss wrote:There were also the special order colours for 72:
Glacier Blue 326
Gulf Blue 328
Oxford blue 329
Metallic Blue 324
Is there any sign of the original paint that could supply a "chip" for a paint shop?

Thanks - apart from taking an age to download, the chart is fascinating - the Bahama Yellow is nothing like my '69 911T - so maybe the V5 is wrong - it is much lighter and more yellow. Viper Green looks spot on, and they hadn't invented Rubystone Red before 1973 apparently. However, even if you try to print these colours, the computer and the printer have entirely independent ideas about the shades, so they end up unrealistic. Any idea where I can get accurately printed samples. --I'll come clean - I am commissioning a large 'Artists impression' of the Porsche Badge from a local artist for a centrepiece on my garage wall, and I wanted to incorporate my car colours. While he has seen the cars, I wanted to supply the exact shades for matching, so need some printed copies. I tried digitally photographing, but by the time I print, it is completely wrong. Oh well - perhaps one of the Girlies on Board has a useful nail polish chart!!!
