Re: Are these case savers/timeserts?
Timeserts and Case savers are essentially very similar in function. If there is any doubt about capability for DIY have them done professionally. £280 seems a good price its not actually very hard to do with the right kit. To drill exhaust studs make a drill jig from an old exhaust flange by welding...

Re: Are these case savers/timeserts?
They are diy but you do need to know your onions in engineering terms you must be able to index a hole centre and drill vertically to a fixed depth on a measured pcd then tap vertically . if you or someone you know can do that they are "diy". Pm me if you want them.

It's usually a GREAT meeting so unhappy that a UNI open day is clashing because I had originally intended to go. Take chair and sit down at Quarry its one of the best corners in motorsport in the uk. The food and wc's are near and the paddock is only a 10 minute walk. Have a great day!!

Re: Oil Pressure 2.2 litre 911T
Hi, thats normal, the relief valve opens at 98 psi you may see the gauge twitch? Sender and gauge are matched so get the right sender. Rember worm motors also generate more heat so as long as you don't get corresponding temp increase you can generally be happy. Your motor will thank you for using a ...

Re: Low oil temp reading. Any ideas?
Keith your oil should be at about 80/90 degrees max c so the stat is ok. Sender to gauge should be matched. Try pointing an infrared thermometer if you have one at the oil return line or even when its really warmed up a bulb type thermometer in the tank would be close. None of this indication is act...

Re: Circuit des Remparts d'Angoulême
Thanks both. I'll be buying tickets next Feb' so at least part of my planning is right. We will ferry across and drive so might need the Sat Nav for the big road bit but totally agree about those smaller roads and getting lost. The 100/6 certainly does suit me, its brilliant and modification ( perio...

I'm hoping to go next year in my Healey, as a family we love this part of France so we intend to tie it into a family break. Any tips would be appreciated other than the obvious about not drinking too much Pastis .

Re: Help : Cibie Pallas bonnet mounting problem
Great minds and all that ! A good tip is to use a jubillee clip as a guide , tighten it around the diameter at a slight angle and follow its edge with your saw. Water is a good lubricant on polythene and nylon. A woodworking plane may help you get a nice finish ? Or maybe a belt sander?

Re: Help : Cibie Pallas bonnet mounting problem
Andrew have a piece of black nylon round bar flycut at the correct angle, say 6 degrees, drill it for the mounts and cable . It would look factory and be relatively cheap ?
