Re: popping and spitting Solex carbs

Go to the Web Bring up an Exploded View of the Parts - Solex 40 PII Carbs Look for the 2 x Small Jets in the Top of the Car Body under the Top Cover - they are usually marked Part no. 33 and 34 These 2 x jets do a different job BUT the size and threads are the same - you may have reversed them in th...

Re: Rebuild ZF Box Video

I like Tom`s presentations BUT because this is the first time he has stripped one of these boxes, he misses a number of points that should have been mentioned

I do not have the time to go through it all again - just be wary

Re: House of Karmann

We have RHD Pedal Box`s and ZF Steering Boxes in stock - it is the Pitman arm that is the expensive bit
An early VW Steering Box would be the cheaper option but not as nice as a ZF

Re: House of Karmann

Sounds like a Fun project - Greg

We have a couple of Industrial 356 Motors laying around - would certainly be a good basis - they come with all the Tinware etc and can be seen running
Pistons and Cylinders - Cam change - Head work and choose your own carbs will get you some extra horses

Re: 123 Distributor / Drop in Performance

I see you've had the 123 fitted for 3 years or so. No idea how many miles you've done in that time but my first port of call would be to check the condition of rotor arm and cap. If the rotor and cap looks OK.... maybe it's time to tune your car. Start by adjusting the valves. Then move onto the ig...

Re: 123 Distributor / Drop in Performance

I am assuming the drop in performance is most likely ignition related.
