Re: Spraying top coat over POR 15

Thanks to all for the quick replies, have just checked it out and looks to be just the ticket. Very much appreciated. Would you recommend using the Fe 123 rust neutraliser first or will the epoxy mastic do the job straight on? I would like to get a good finish with the top coat, so can epoxy mastic ...

Spraying top coat over POR 15

Hi, I am tidying the rear trunk on my 914. Damp has got under the paint so some rust spots but not bad enough to need any replacement panel. POR15 looks like the best way to tidy it up, but have seen mixed reviews on putting a top coat over it. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? I am goi...

Oil Breather hose (2.4E engine)

Hi experts, doing a bit of 'spring cleaning' on my engine (2.4E in 914-6) and realised the oil breather hoses are past it. These are.. 1. Oil filler neck breather hose to airbox. 2. Crank case breather hose to Oil tank. Rubber hose with external braided cloth outer. Looks to be approx. 20mm inside d...

Re: Bob Watson

I am absolutely stunned by this terribly sad news. I can in no way say I knew him as long as others, but on recommendation, he rebuilt the engine my 914-6 a few years ago and from then on he was my 'go to man' ever since. I will miss the long chats (despite how busy he was), Bob with Cuppa in one ha...

Re: Belt up!

Hi James, I may still have the belts off my car when I swapped to harnesses. I am a horder so I can't believe I don't still have them. I will have a look. For some 914 Karma, you are welcome to have them for price of postage, or pick them up if you are ever passing Wokingham. I will get the thermals...

Re: Fuel starvation woes continue

Mmm hang on a mo! 10mm fuel lines are very large. I wonder if under load because your fuel lines are so large that the fuel pressure is dropping as the pump can't keep the pressure up when feeding pipes of this diameter and also feed the engine at full chat. Normally they would be 5.5. - 6mm from me...
