Re: e-manuals online

Martin, where are you at with you Targa renovation? That was seriously impressive to follow along with. Best, John Thanks John, No progress since my last update a year ago, I'm still procrastinating unfortunately, but I've been rebuilding a Jag Mk2 since lockdown, compared to the Targa it's very st...

e-manuals online

I need a workshop manual for 3.0SC

Has anybody bought & downloaded the E-manuals online, I read the reviews & they seem very mixed.

I've got a Haynes, but you can't beat factory manuals.

Re: Warm rough idle

There are two connectors on the rear, one is the cold start injector, and one is the safety switch (stops the fuel pump when the engine is not turning.) having either disconnected would not give the symptoms you describe Thanks John, My fuel pump does run with just the ignition on, so the disconnec...

Re: Warm rough idle

Thanks for the responses, there is a lot to get your head around with these cars, lucky YouTube is a great resource. I watched a very detailed refurb of a WUR, with benefit of making it externally adjustable too. Yes I'm getting to know fuel pressure is really important, along with good vacuum. Havi...

Warm rough idle

Howdy folks, Just got hold of my first roadworthy 3.0SC, it starts from cold fine, but when it's warm, it gets lumpy on tick over & then cuts out, starts ok , but won't idle properly. I don't want to start messin till I've asked the brotherhood watz up first, I'm guessing a vacuum leak somewhere...

Re: Another Targa sarga

Thanks for the input chaps, Yeah I know the Targa lost some of it's coupe appeal & putting lipstick on a pig won't transform it, however, the few changes I have in mind will improve the style a little imo, whithout going the radical Singer look. Luckily there is local company too me that does a ...

Re: Another Targa sarga

It's been a strange week, right from the offset the plan was to rebuild to factory spec 2.7 Targa, but a chance meeting with a chap selling Porsche parts on Ebay, lead me to visit to Rennsport, in Moreton on Marsh. Not being very up on Porsche specialists, it was a bit of an eye opener to say the le...

Re: Another Targa sarga

A fabulously understated post ignoring the countless hours of fitting cutting and fettling to get to the welding moment. Keep it up. Inspiring stuff. [emoji106] Yes Gary, Must of had the floor on & off 50 times, before committing to weld it on, but who wants to know that, this is show business ...
