Hello all. The original 2.0 in the 914-6 was deliberately a step behind the 2.2T in the then current 911..had they fitted the 2.2T they feared it would prove hard to sell 911's! The later engine has a lot going for it really..much better combustion chamber bigger valves and a stronger case, and 15 H...

hello there.

Its normal to swop the uprights and spindles at the same time: the early ones are often bent anyway..and are too thin.

The front width is greater the rear the same..

Hello all. Andrew M. is correct..the rear is all special to the 914.. I have considered making a few sets of these. rear bars to original pattern...I have originals to copy. But the cost would be rather high I fear..for ten sets I'd expect not less than 400 each..there is a lot of special machining ...

ratios

Hello, Vicki.

The second gear is much too high in bother "CR" boxes..a real pain.

So the stock box is best for sure..

But why not stick with the 911 box you have and alter the ratios if you want?

It is well up to the job and has a much better shift.

Hello Chris.

Pull out all the idel jets and inspect: almost certainly some will be blocked..

This is why the air cleaner is essential..its muck in the intake air usually, sometimes in the petrol too.

Kind regards
