Re: Why did you do that stupid!
It can all go horribly wrong very quickly. In Zimbabwe 2 years ago I was overtaken at speed one night en route to grab a takeaway with my mom in the car on a winding road. No street lights being par for the course. He flew past another car in front of me going into the next bend when I heard an almi...

Re: Anyone driving an EV?
Rented a car over the weekend, drove 400km and it cost $19 in fuel! Prices have come down over 20% since January and it’s $2.15 a gallon. NYC fuel prices are considered high vs NJ where I saw it’s around $1.85 a gallon. Not sure the Tesla maths works so well at the moment. In fact, I see very few Te...

Re: Harry on the future of the car market
I think there’s definitely some surprising pricing popping up. Cabin fever and keyboards perhaps... Been tracking a few moderns and as a relative value (I know it’s not apples for apples) but not sure how a recreation RS (maybe it is a special example (I’ve only seen the video and auction brochure) ...

Re: Harry on the future of the car market
Clearly Harry’s patter did the trick at Silverstone with the RS recreation achieving £161.7k and the SC £73.7k (incl. premium)!

Re: Harry on the future of the car market
Just watched Harry for the first time. Perhaps the Silverstone clip wasn’t the best intro. Loved him blatantly pumping up the 911sc targa “sort of unbroken ownership apart from the 9 years it was stolen and recovered” with a bit of poetic license “when it was kept in a barn”  Why do this...

Long term storage - tips for not creating a barn find
We're moving to the US for a bit and unfortunately the car can't come with so it's going into long term storage. Having spent a huge amount of time and effort with Chris Turner getting the car up and running a few years back I don't want to create another barn find. The storage is facility is nice a...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Got into my car for the first time in nearly 4 months. Started first shot, smoked to burn off the oil for the first few minutes and then ran superbly for 130 miles straight off the bat. 44yrs old and never ceases to amaze! A bittersweet day as going into long term storage while I'm in NY.

You gave me and so many others much much more than just a helping hand.
I will miss you and the environment you fostered around yourself particularly at our Saturday morning gatherings very much.
Rest in peace my friend.
