Re: 1968 911L Project
The reason my post doesnt exist is that I asked Bootsy to Delete it last week. i had a few dealer types bid silly low amounts and dont really want to part out the bits, including 100ltr tank, twinspark dizzy etc etc.. But the car is still for sale, its in Billerikay with DSD Motorwerks and you can P...

Re: rs rep
So it is an IB backdate then? But with a 73 vin plate grafted on. Didn't we use to call this ringing? For me grafting a VIN plate onto another body shell makes me very nervous. I understand there are some recognised and respected names connected to the car. But I just can't consider it a 73. Just m...

Re: Ok someone please explain this to me?
Having had a shell done by Marek, I can only imagine what a silly amount of money has been paid for a fake 911 shell... Its still a "lowly" 912 and considering how obsessed people are with matching numbers and originality, i cant beleive that a crappy 912 shell could ever be as valuable as...

Re: OT - Independent Fabrication Titanium Crown Jewel Road B
Aha gotcha.. I agree ref 80mm stems.. But it seems all the manufacturers are putting shorter stems on bikes these days, I also prefer a 110-120m stem on a road bike..looks better too. Ti isnt stiffer, if anything it will be softer than aluminium.. If you want stiff, then maybe you should look at Sto...

Re: OT - Independent Fabrication Titanium Crown Jewel Road B
I dont getit, why not fit a zero-setback seatpost instead of that naff thompson bent one, and fit a 90mm stem with a set of 42cm bars with maybe slightly less drop?
Then it wouldnt be that much of a stretch.

Re: OT - Independent Fabrication Titanium Crown Jewel Road B
having a Lynskey already, I can attest to Titanium being an awesome frame material. maybe not suited to a high-watt gorilla sprinter but for everybody else its awesome!
dammit, i am sorely tempted as it exactly my size and IF is a well known hi-end brand.

911 design ideas
hiya, I have my '71 911 project that is now in ST width. i was debating livery and really like the Larousse psychedelique TdF paint job. Since I was fairly crap at arts back in school, are there any arty types here that can design a conda green longhood look with inspiration from the TdF car and als...
