Re: 911 Forum users please post a picture of your car.
Finally, some pictures of my new best friend. These were taken yesterday on a quick blast to blow cobwebs away and are neither very artistic nor very good, but better here than still waiting I say! Hope u-like This is tucked up snug in the garage: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a5/sfh3l/DSC_0164.j...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - PRIOR TO JOINING THE CLUB PLEASE READ
Hey Guys,
I think that I did everything properly when I sent in my application form (early Jan I suppose), but haven't had anything from you yet. No wild rush, but it would be good to know that I haven't made a mustake
Best wishes,
Sam

Re: Possible Brake Upgrade 2.4T
Thanks Nick. Clear and succinct. Even I can understand that! I'll check the front legs, but I don't think they are 'S'. Calipers look fine and fresh and the discs OK too - just an 'unbraked' feel to me. Admittedly this is the first car since my Mini on which there wasn't at least one servo, but even...

Possible Brake Upgrade 2.4T
Guys, I have read a number of extremely informative threads on here on this topic and just wanted to test my understanding as it is all too easy to get hold of the wrng end of the stick (as I am probably about to demonstrate!). I have a '72 2.4T, which as far as I know has standard front and rear hu...

Re: Deep 6/Flat 6.
Even with the cut-out somehow put back into that wheel, it would wobble like hell

911T 2.4 strange rev counter surging
I made the right call and went out in the 911 today, to be paid back by a sunny couple of hours and a great drive up to Warwickshire and back. One thing I noticed, while poddling along in traffic was something rather strange from the rev counter. When at approximately 2500 rpm in 4th on a very small...

Re: Panel Light Question
Defective bulbs now replaced and fuse inserted into the relevant supply. For the record, on my '72T 2.4 the tag on the switch had what appeared to be a straight black wire and a back-with-blue-stripe on a joint connector for the panel light circuit. All safe now  Thanks for the pointer to the ...

Re: Blinking handbrake light.
"Blinking Handbrake light" Yes, it can be rather annoying (). My 72T does it and it didn't actually bother me as it was clearly accompanied by the ticking of a relay. However, I had somehow assumed that it doubled up as an oil-pressure-warning-light, given the placing and the mention...

Re: Panel Light Question
Thank you chaps, both of you for the pointers. I like the idea of taking the supply from the light switch as this makes certain that you catch it as close to the source as possible. I'll leave in place the fuse that I have fitted as it can't hurt, but the 'final solution' seems like a whole lot bett...

Panel Light Question
OK, so before I managed to post pictures of my car I have a question. Tonight I had the speedo out of the car to reconnect the trip recorder reset cable as it had popped out of the back of the casing and thought that while I was at it I would checkout which kind of buld I needed for parking light wa...

Hello from a new member
Hi to one and all. I have been a lurker for a while but having recently finally found the right car and parted with my shekels I have joined up (the forum at least). I am the very pleased owner of a beautiful Blutorange '72 T , running Webers but pretty much standard otherwise. I am not new to class...
