Re: Happy Christmas!?!

No time on the wet grip, just blasting round the short circuit but that was thrilling enough for me.

Re: Happy Christmas!?!

I finally got my "Christmas present" day sorted out for yesterday so I thought I'd share it with you. As James posted above this was with Everyman racing and the organization on the day was excellent. I took the experience at Kenilworth (as it is reasonably close to where my sister lives) ...

Re: Non porsche WANTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I've been toying with the idea of a single seater as a road car for a while, this would fit the bill nicely :) . That is one seriously symbolic (and possibly unique) gear knob.

Happy Christmas!?!

I arrived home last night to find I have a Christmas present from my parents!! "A bit odd" I thought as I didn't think they were that senile but I went along with it  . They have bought me a "Supercar Experience" through a company called "Activity Superstore". I h...

Re: sunny weather is just the ticket

If you were :bounce: you probably need new shock absorbers

I know what you mean, though. I feel the same when I'm out in my 912.

Re: 66 LHD 'Doctors Car' restoration begins

911hillclimber wrote The imperial measurments made me smile! I was on a work course recently and was told that we aren't allowed to use the term "imperial" anymore while refering to measurements, we have to use "inch". This is because "imperial" is unPC and has connotat...

Re: The new ring?

I haven't checked out the rest of the site, I was too distracted by the animated lap of the track in my car 8) :) !!! Ok, it's not actually my car but of all the cars they could have chosen they picked an early Porsche and of all the colours they could have chosen they went for GolfBlau. It's probab...

Re: Restoring/painting a wooden steering wheel

Hi,

Not wishing to hijack the thread but Alan, how much would such a refurbishment be? My steering wheel is nowhere near as bad as the one in your photos but will certainly need some fettling at some point. pm me if you don't wish to discuss the vulgar topic of money on the open forum :) .

Hi Twtony,

It might just be me not finding my way around the site properly but, even if you don't post your entire address (not really a good idea), a rough idea of where you are in the country might help  .

Yes, it really was a nice day out. We must do it again before the summer disappears. Everyone else welcome next time, of course. Peter's 914/6 really does shift thanks to the 911S engine etc. He was kind to me and let me lead most of the day. Does anyone know the orange 912 pictured above? It was re...
