£32,900 being sold on behalf of the customer

Apparently his wife didn't like it - I can't imagine an offer of £29,999 being turned down - can you?!

Re: 3 gauge v 5 gauge?

Hi Steve - Is it not simply the case that the 3 guage cars were produced before the 5's ?? And presumably all 3 gauge cars are SWB - so perhaps slightly more desirable for that alone? :? Apologies if I'm talking out of my backside - I've been trying to learn a bit about the 12's recently also - so i...

Re: BMW 2002 tii

I restored a '73 tii early last year for a customer, fantastic cars and have a surprising turn of speed. Most of the injection system problems stem from worn or poorly setup linkages rather than the metering unit itself. As mentioned above and similar to most cars of that era rust is the biggest pr...

Afternoon All - slight aside There is a very nice Carrera 3 for sale on Pistonheads (sorry - can't add the link from Work) for £17.5k This car was previously discussed here (or on IB's) - I think the owner may be a Sottish member - but I couldn't find the thread. :? The car has some "history&qu...

Re: Nice 2.7 on eBay

Evening all

There's something very odd about this car and its seller - he appears to have sold the car and a navy blue widebody 3.0/SC a number of times on ebay over the last couple of months!!

Seems like very odd behaviour!

Re: Black 912 on ebay

Hi all - I'm "watching" that car on ebay also - the interior looks nice but, as noted, the exterior doesn't look that great to me - wrong wheels, headlights, boot lid etc - of course all of these items that are easily fixable. And its RHD - so, for me, that's a positive. Clearly, as usual,...

Re: phil Raby 911t for sale?

Paul - everything you say is, of course fair comment. The market is what the market is - they'll either sell quickly if priced "right" (eg my 3.2 Carrera sold through RPM Technik in a week or so) or sit there for some time (eg those Old School (??) fellas trying to sell that Gulf Blue 3.0 ...

[quote bargain .. $100 cheaper to the early esses board ... doesn't it make you feel good that DDK is held in such high respect :roll:quote]

The UK is nearer to that Essen place so naturally prices have to be inflated somewhat!

Re: Way too modern for here, but what a car!

I'm sure its been discussed at length before - but they do have what seems to be a "cheap" 2.4s on for £75k

Presume its another one requiring £30k spent on it.............!!
