I was just trying to get an overview really of what different jets people were using and what power results different setups will give (ie more low down torque or top end power) Only reason I ask is because my webers are running 28mm vents with 52mm idle jets and 115 main jets and in the original gu...

What jets are people running?

OK just out of interest I was wondering what size jets/venturi's people are using in their 912's carbs's. Mine has twin weber 40 idf's fitted and I was just wondering if it is jetted correctly for peak performance. What jets/venturi's are other people running and what is performance like?

Just out of interest what are arch liners made of and how do they attach. They sound like a great idea.

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing but I'm pretty sure it wasn't caused by me. If I'd done them up any less tight I don't think they would have sealed properly. Either that or the castings have fatigued over time due to many expansions and contractions? I did them up by hand with a small screwdriver I di...

Weber 40 idf's

OK after 3 days of painstaking rebuild of my carbs I put them back on the car and started it up, it was running a bit lumpy, I felt around the carbs for leaks and a peice of aluminium from the carb body (around a fixing screw) fell off in my hand! Having looked around all off the fixing screws there...

Cheers for the info, I've just been and checked my needle valves and they both look pretty shot tbh. I have changed them both and set the float levels to the weber guide settings so fingers crossed everything should be OK now.

Many thanks

Weird, mine are at present near side carb = 11mm in closed position and 23mm in open position. Off side carb = 12mm in closed position and 25mm in open position. The weird thing is that the near side carb was stained with fuel on the outside of the carb body as if the float level had been too high a...
