I would ahve thought £500-£1000 to be nearer the mark to be honest, they are quite happy to stick big prices on any plates as it fills up their catalogue but almost noone ever sell for these list prices. Ive just bought V200 BUG for our NB for £400 and I also have V4DGE for a lot less. 356 plates is...

Not had much time on this for a while but when I came back to it I found a problem with the rubber mounts being corroded on the bolts, one was so bad that when I went to put nut on the free thread the internal welds broke off. Priced up new ones and said no way so instead cut off old bolt and then c...

Just got everything from Karmann Konnection as was quicker and easier that way however I have now discovered a few much cheaper places in US especially for panels.

An old mate of mine is based or was based in South Wales, his names Mick frewer but I have lost contact with him, done some nice interiors in the past!

Might be worth asking on Volkszone to see if anyone has a current contact for him.

Sounds like that will be me cutting and welding new studs in then that is a ridiculous price, already done one and may have to do one more but an hours labour compared to that is well worth it.

Rubbers great on these its just wear on the studs which has caused two to spin when tightened

If so the spring clips loose their 'springyness' after a while and don't hold the valve cover as tight against the head as they should. maybe consider new spring clips? This would be my starting point before using any sealant at all. When putting on seals always ru...
