Fuel check valve question

I have a hot starting 'issue' with my '77 Carrera 3.0. I've already swapped out the accumulator and unfortunately it still gets a vapour lock when I stop for say 10mins or more. I'm suspecting the 'fuel check valve'. Unfortunately everyone I've tried so far doesn't seem to be able to find this part on their PET system for my year model. The Bently manual clearly shows this part as a thing that threads into the top of the fuel pump but on the PET system my year car doesn't appear to have this. Cars from '84 onwards do however, so my question is where exactly is it? Inside the pump? (My pumps brand new) Perhaps I should just order a later year part and screw that in? What do you think? Anyone else manage to get find this part? Cheers
