brake line fittings

Where can I get brake line fittings? I'm after the loose male ends that are fitted to the flared ends of the solid brake lines and screw into the female thread on the flexible lines. Do Pirtek do them as I'll be just up the road from one of their branches on Tuesday?

thanks, Phil

Hi Phil: a bit more local: I'm pretty sure Chris Pellings do most (they certainly have the pipe) plus Martin Story Engineering over at Jarvis Brook will have everything (01892 655593).

Does this mean you've got another classic?

Most motor factors & car accessory shops should sell them but make sure you get the correct size/thread (if possible take the old ones with you).

Accesory shops are fine if you only want a couple of fittings (as these places tend to be more expensive) - otherwise get them from places like:

Thanks Barry, Nick, (no, not a classic Barry, a runabout that I'm turning into a sprint car to keep my hand in and in the absence of any other project)

I'll be coming back via Crowborough on Tues, so wil pop into Martin Storey.

thanks, Phil
