Apologies of someone else has asked something like this before but | am still unsure what to do with the oil cooler side of things on my 2.7 Carrera
The pipes are flattened (as is often the case) close to the jack point and the smaller sections of pipe close to the oil cooler look a little rusty, probably OK but you never know, so some work is needed……..
so ……………………
first question is whether anyone has ever solder repaired their pipes by inserting a new section of brass pipe
second question is whether rather than buying the official Porsche type pipes at the engine side of the thermostat (linking to the oil tank) anyone has bought flexible stainless braided hoses
third question is whether to replace all the pipes with braided
fourth question is my old favourite to run the braided pipes inside the cills and front trunk. I know there will be issues with cooling and I don’t want to put the RS type of spoiler on the front of the car, (the car is being modified to an RS touring appearance with an S type spoiler) which means I am possibly asking the imposible ??
I’m sure I asked these questions before but I can’t find the old thread
Thanks
Jonathan
