Headliner question?

How hard is it to replace the headliner in my 911. There maybe a chance my 911 is going into the paint shop for a freshen up and the windows all have to come out.
An excellent time to change the seals and sunroof seal. How hard would it be to change the headliner though?
Can you get black headliner?

Transend do the black headliners, I put one in mine. They look much better than the lighter ones.

With care and about 30 bulldog clips its an easy job. I get mine from Forest Fine

I got mine from there too altho they did send the wrong size retention 'brackets' so we re-used the existing.
Take care with windsreen seals tho Alam - some will sell you 'genuine' and they are just pattern - I had 3 before I got a pukka one from Karmann Konn

Guys who do you buy windscreen seals from, as I am replacing all the rubbers? Really want ones that fit nice.
Is the black headliner a good quality item? OEM quality.

Viv is right, make sure you get genuine seals. This is especially important for the rear seal.

I have genuine seals in stock at £40 each plus VAT. Retail prices are £94.56 (front), £68.95 (rear).

I used one from Roger Bray and it went in lovely, as Nick says get plenty of clips and a pot of patience!

Ok well I find out if Roger do a black version from the same manufacturer.

Can't get down south I afraid, I may be Berkshire born, but my ticket north looks one way at the moment!
Classic Le Mans will be my first 911 trip past the midlands in 2 years!

Ron I'm in Wimbledon so not far at all really.
Do have any pictures of your car to share with us?
Tim, that right I am hoping to make the Ashby run but maybe in the Mustang as the 911 maybe visiting a paintshop for a tidy up.
