Anyone now of a uk supplier, I'd like to get one to keep in the car on long journeys as a spare, at least get me going again should my bosch unit decide to pack up, anyone who's been there now's how frustrating it can be.

Darren, you can carry a conventional coil and a condensor for those just in case moments. Might be a lot cheaper

i know that'll be fine for a short run, but i could end up having to clean the plugs every 40 miles or so, I've heard they can foul if you leave them like that for too long. Surely a used permatune unit can't be that expensive, even if it's a duff one I don't suppose you'd know a chap who might be able to fix it

gilbert....i have a permatune , under a year old and its a six pin for fitting to a 3.0 engine (mines an 82).......i am going to replca e it in 2 weeks time with an MSD......would this be any good to you ?....paul
