Does anyone know a supplier of any specialist removal tool. There was a thread on here with a link to a supplier but thats a dead domain now. I'm a bit concerned about dropping the plug within the engine once i have it out with my battered out spark plug socket.

Thank in advance.

I think you are having a blonde moment, the thread is still there but the site http://www.dornstrauch.com/911_tools.htm is not longer valid.....no offence to blondes or yourself. :P

try ebay, but those cheapo T handled jobbies are quite useful as they're small enough to get in there, make sure its 'high quality' cheapo jobbie with a rubber socket inside to grip thew plug when you pull it out. Try Pound Stretcher, I'm serious!

You can also buy some quality aftershave whilst you're there.

I acquired my version from a mates 924 before it was scrapped its the same tool.

No offense taken, I just assumed you would do a simple search from there. If you want something cheap - try these guys on your side of the world -

If you want the good stuff, these guys have it all -

Or just make one .... that's what I did.
Length is critical , too short and it fouls the engine , too long and it fouls the chassis leg as you take the plug out.
I bought the "spark plug end" , complete with rubber inset to grip plug , and welded an extension to it. Extension (home made) has an allen key socket in it , for loosen and tighten functions , and a knurled top to take out and put in by hand.
Or if you are rich , just go buy the real thing !
