Interior Questions

Gang,

My car has a dealer installed A/M AC system. I want to pull it out. The condensor unit releases the cold air vents by the passenger foot well.
The footwell is open to the boot.
Should a panel be over this to stop the air from entering the passenger compartment?

Carpet colour - my car came with the S package. The carpet appears gray. Is this the famous salt/pepper carpet or some other derivative?

Has anyone used those PP dash covers to hide the cracks?
What are they like?

Best

Hi Dom

If your dealer fit air con is anything like mine was, the dealers basically just hack a hole into the front of the footwell into the smuglers box this basically just needs a panel welding in to the hole.

Thanks. That makes it a bit more complex.

I had the same hole through to my smuggler's box too. To be honest their cut out was a bit rough and ready. Just welded a plate in and added sealer around the edge just to be sure.

What is an Alfa Bertone 105?
I had two Alfa 75 3 liters in Germany 15 years ago.

Thanks

The Alfa 105 Bertone is the GT GTA GT junior and GTV series of sixties and seventies coupe's, I believe.

The Step front is the earlier series with only two headlights instead of 4 and with 1300 and 1600 cc engines.

I'm not really an Alfa man but I did drive a 3 litre 75 and my my, a real hairy chested sportscar! Fantastic!

Bert,

The Alfa 75 was that ugly boxy sedan but I can say that it was the most powerful company car I could own (U.S. employer). Car saw 240 Km on the autobahn between Koeln and Bonn. Not very stable. On the same piece of road, I drove a 3.2 impact bumper 911 that was very stable, and forgive me all, very boring.
