Hello Chaps,

Does anybody have any euro lenses for rear lights on 73 914? If not, does anybody know where I can get some cheap?
I also need the front indicator/sidelight units with lenses.

Unfortunately, I need these double quick as the old girl is due to come out of hiding with a 2.2E engine installed amidships! It's booked on the ferry to Le Mans. Gulp!

Oh Yeah!

God I'm such a child!

Car is at Oak Tree garage at the moment having some work done. 3.2 legs, S calipers at the front. Not looking forward to bill.

Truth is, it still looks like a bag of doo doo, but it also goes like doo doo off a shovel! 8)

Cheers,

Mark

Lenses are like rocking horse s**t. Cheap ones are even scarcer! :? Can't you nick them off Crispins 916?

I have a friend going on honeymoon to San Diego next week. Are there any places out there he could pick some up for me?

If i do manage to find some over here, they're going to be expensive aren't they?

Arse.

Never mind.

Thanks for your positive words and suggestion!

I got my lenses from Pelican Parts - currently a huge $223 each (£123) for the rears. Front lenses at $23.75, and the front sidelamp / indicator units at a whopping $313.75 each!!

Might be worth trying the Porsche dealers in the UK as the rear lenses are genuine Porsche items.

Have you tried Forestfine? I know it sounds odd as they do rubbers but a friend bought a set of italian spec front indicator lenses from them and they were quite cheap.

I may have a couple of crappy ones somewhere. Will have a look tomorrow. Do you definitely want euro ones as I think that I have a pair of US ones spare as well.

Are you going to Stanford Hall this Sunday?

Thanks everyone for your help.

If somebody does have a set of crappy ones, that would be good. Crispin apparently, is a stickler for the rules when it comes to MoT's and has insisted I get orange repeater lenses and the proper Euro units up front. :|

I will drop both Forest Fine and Stateside an email. Thanks for the suggestions.

As for Stanford Hall, i think i may have missed that one! However, my old mans racing his 911E at Brands this Sunday if anyones interested.

Thanks once again!

Mark
