Im having a small nightmare, can anyone help me out !

Post by stevesprite »

I tried to adjust (read hit with a big hammer) one of the brackets that atatch to my side screens. (The stainless steel L shapped bar with a thread on one end). I tried to bend it a bit more to make it fit better and I hit it a bit too hard with a rather large hammer and it snapped. I bought the side screens from Gary at the Speedster clinic last year. I have been trying to contact Gary for the past week, but his website has disappeared, his email doesnt work, Ive tried to phone him, and PM d him from this site all to no avail.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these brackets ? Has anyone got one that they dont need ?

regards

I could probably get you one/two rattled up. Can you send me the broken bits?

You'll get my details on

Thanks for the offer OB

I have managed to do a bit of a running repair with some araldite. I am still after a new bracket but I dont want to take the repaired one off until I get a new one as I will have no way of securing the car, when it is parked up.

OK, at a push send me a pic, thread size and dimensions. Can't promise it will be exact but should be close.

Hi OB

Looking at the pictures of your build it looks like my side screen brackets are the same as the ones that you have on your car.

Nice paint job, I agree black is difinately the way to go, theres too many silver/blue speedsters around !!!

good luck with the trim, I left it all off mine.
