front vent windows

Does anybody know how to remove the glass (without breaking of course) out of the frames of the front vent windows of my 68 swb coupe? I removed the knob first and then I tried and I tried and I.......Help!
The make clear what I mean I attached a picture of such a frame (not exactly the same as this picture is a targa part)

Question - do you need to save the frames ?
If so, it is one hell of a job, assuming they are not 'siliconed' in.
The original opening vents should be held in by a rubber 'grip' strip, the best way to attack this is by either
1 - loads of WD40 and leave it to soak for as long as possible - that way you will be able to (gently) ease the glass out - it is dead easy to bend the frame though or
2 - if it won t budge after soaking , knife very carefully roung the frane to glass - PUT SOME GLOVES ON THOUGH !

Thanks for the tips. I want to remove the glass for refurbushment of the frames so I just sprayed half a can of wd40 on them
I'll let it soak for a few days and try again.
I'll let you know the results.

It will work - I do the same thing on customers frames with quite a good level of success ie. have yet to break one !!!
