Morning all...

I have my 911 in bits at the mo, and am very tempted to get the worn synchro on 1st and 2nd sorted now rather than live with it as originally planned...

Anyone had good experience getting their 915 box rebuilt in the SE? Recommedations appreciated, or PM me!

Also, what would be the going rate for this type of work, assuming that its just a few key components in there which are worn (i know the bits arent cheap...)

Cheers...

Gav, give Nick Moss a shout: he uses the mythical 'Jez': I think he might be over Horsham way, but is meant to be the beeeez neeeez with gearboxes.

I know Nick often sends boxes for assesment, and it seems as though Jez is pretty good at doing what's needed, rather than a wholesale 'replace everything at whatever cost' approach.

Thanks guys, have just spoken with Jez and they are located just down the road from where i work. Sounds like they know what they are talking about, which is a good start...

Gary I was half tempted I have to say 8) ... but in the interests of having the car driveable again sooner rather than later, I think I'm going to entrust this one to the experts...

Cheers,
