What tools?

Hi All,
After last weeks elvington debacle I realise I need to invest in some quality tools to keep in the car
So...
Would any ddk'ers care to put a list together of tools they would recomend to keep in the car.I've no idea what is in the Porsche tool roll for starters but i'm sure one can be put together for a fraction of the price of the original item. So A, whats in the tool roll (sizes of spanners etc) and B, what would you folk reccomend to add to it, makes, sizes, etc. remember I'm talkig about a kit for the road so no 10 ton lifts or engine pully systems if you please!!

Mike, the Factory toolkit varied slightly from year to year but typically contained:
Sparkplug spanner
Wheel nut wrench (19mm)
5 open-ended metric spanners: 8/9, 10/11, 12/13, 14/15 & 17/19mm
19/22mm ring spanner (flat not offset or angled)
2 screwdrivers: flat blade & Phillips (red handles)
Pliers
Fan pulley wrench
Allen key (for oil drain plug)
Spare fan belt
Spare fuses (5 in plastic bag
In addition I carry a few items like:
roll of stiff wire
roll of duck/gaffa tape
some electrical wire
small electrical screwdriver
'stubby' flat blade screwdriver
pair mole grips
a few nuts/bolts (M6/M8)
small LED torch
a lightweight scissors jack (I use an aluminium 944 jack)
& most important of all :
mobile phone & breakdown recovery card ...

may want a small cheap multimeter or a test lamp, just to confirm the electrics are good. I got a automotive one for less than a tenner, I think it was from Radio spares (RS).

I also carry a spare relay, a spare set of points and some tin foil for those extra high amp fuses

Many thanks andy etc,
are any of the tools Porsche specific and if so where can I get them from? Also are there any makes you would recomend or more relevantly makes to avoid!

As you can tell Mike, I usually carry everything !
But to be fair, we stripped you Alternator using just 10mm, 13mm, Fan pulley wrench, some screw drivers and a 22m spanner. Oh, and a lump hammer.
Have you got it fixed yet ?

This is my first post/reply, as I am a newcomer to the scene, having bought a wonderful example of the art, sound in wing and limb, and brought her to Ireland from the UK.
My question to you is: where can I get a fan belt wrench?

something I have had a problem with is the tip of the rotor arm falling off! I always carry a spare now.
