Hi
We're looking for a pristine and unmodified 911 (standard model, not S etc) for a studio photoshoot at either Hampshire or Derbyshire.
It's a good day out and you'll get a disk of images of your car, too.
If anyone is able to help out, please get in touch -
phil@9publishing.co.uk
Many thanks
Phil

Phil - it might be worth trying to contact Mick Blow as I think he has a very nice and original Carrera 3 car from that era, but as he's in Cumbria I'm not sure how your locations will work for him.

Ian,
Thanks for the recommendation. Us unemployed have lots of spare time!

I'll contact Phil direct. Have you started on the resto yet?

Hi guys
Thanks for the replies.
Sorry, I wasn't clear, we're looking for a standard 2.7 911 of the period, not a Carrera.
Thanks anyway - Mike, I may take you up on the offer for another feature in the future, if that's OK.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Mike, good to hear from you (and apologies Phil for the thread hijack).
I'm building a replacement engine, but as it's just got another 12 month ticket, the pressure's off on that (not that it will alter my timetable for completion).
It's 'booked in' for the bodywork, but I'm on a rather long waiting list with around 24 months still to go

. Should be worth the wait though

.
Perhaps we can tempt you to join one of our Northern evening get togethers if James sets one up around Scotch Corner?
Regards
Ian

Scotch Corner area would suit me too at the moment now I'm living even further North until my house is done
How about a December 'weekend' meet, then maybe we could get some of the Scots to join us too.

How about a December meet up ?

I can make a December meeting at/near Scotch Corner depending on dates. It would give a few of our cars a decent run but don't forget the dreaded salt problem.

See impmad2000's pics in 911 section

If I can interrupt,

we're still looking for a car for the photoshoot.
Cheers

Hi Phil,
Any chance you'd want to fly to Sydney for the photo shoot?
I have exactly what you're looking for - a completely original 911 H series, unmodified narrow body in pristine 'light yellow' (gotta love those 70's safety colours)
Plus it'd be a good excuse for you to get out of the office for a few days

as discussed some time ago via email mine would be available. US import 911S totally standard , with interesting history. Not perfect has some bubbles here and there but pretty tidy.
