Two (!) 1970 Porsche 911 2.2S For Sale

It is with quite a heavy heart that I’m listing two very special cars for sale.

At this moment they are only going on DDK as we would like to keep them both in the DDK family first if at all possible so this is more of a ‘heads up’ for everyone here.
They are both very early 2.2S cars both being built late 69.
The first car is Ian Walton’s original right hand drive Ivory white 911S with VIN 300492 that was built on the 1st December 1969.
This will make it one of the first ever RHD 2.2S cars and I expect one of less than a handful built in 1969 – there were only ever 34 ‘1970 RHD models’ built in total by I think from memory.
The car was first registered in the UK on the 2nd of March 1970 and bought by Ian on 2nd November 1993!
It is a numbers matching car in its original Ivory white.
As you all know Ian was a member of DDK for 20 years and very sadly passed away from MND last June. Ian and his car went on an endless amount of DDK trips around the UK and all across Europe and so both are extremely well known in our community. It has been a hard family decision to let the car go, but they feel this is right and would love it to stay within DDK.
Ian owned the car for over 30 years (there can’t be many early 911’s on here that have been owned longer) having had it extensively restored 25 years ago.
The car was then maintained thoroughly over Ian’s ownership and used as the maker intended! Ian was extremely knowledgeable on these cars and not afraid to get his hands dirty and indeed helped many of us out with our own breakdowns on trips!
There are reams and reams of paperwork and files of maintenance records and receipts many inches thick going back nearly 30 years that will come with the car.
Condition wise it is a very very nice original drivers car with very nice bodywork having benefitted from a full repaint exactly 5 years ago.
The interior is nice and original and mechanically it has been very well looked after.
You could jump in it and drive it anywhere, and you should, just like Ian did...
