Hello,
I thinking about having ppf on my 911. Has anyone had this applied and have thoughts on it? I know earlier types discoloured but apparently the current offering are better. Please share your thoughts and experiences.
Thanks
Gitesh

I’ve had it on a couple of new cars and personally, I would only have it if trying to preserve the original paint or in highly vulnerable areas. On a car that has been repealed, it is not a similar cost to getting a respray and I would rather have that.
Quality of films have improved massively, they don’t really discolour or peel but they do get stone chips and collect dirt around any edges depending on the colour of your car.

I've read that the film will not be replaced after an accident if you are claiming on insurance.
Probably a minor consideration.
