I think I must be spoiling you lot ;)

SUNDAY 20TH NOVEMBER - ELVINGTON

No excuses this time, I'm giving you plenty of notice  :)

DDK ONLY trackday at Elvington. The day will be run by the same organises holding the Cadwell trackday, BUT this time it will be DDK ONLY.

Elvington has a fully laid out circuit and has huge run off areas so you can push your car to 110 %

This will be a superb social day out with fellow DDK'ers and should be a real laugh.

Cost should be less than £130 each ( depnds on numbers ) The more of us there are the cheap it becomes :)

Lets finsh DDK's 2005 with a high :)

***Update on the DDK ELVINGTON TRACKDAY ***

We are going to limit the event to 15 cars, so those who come along will be able to enjoy as much track time as poss without the worry of other cars around them

IN ADDITION : The organisers have agreed to lay out a 'handling' area where we can learn how our cars react , eg lift off oversteer There should be some tuition available too. IMHO this will be the most important part of the day. Where else can you learn to power-slide your car in safety ?

If you can make it to Elvington, this could be one of the most valuable days you could have ( and the most fun )

BTW, price will now be around £130 for the day

I went here earlier in the year.
It is really BIG !
Our course was laid out with cones, but was good and challenging. The surface can be a bit abrasive, but it was pi55ing down when I went so lack of grip was more of a problem.
Good and would reccomend.

Don't worry about the distance, its straight up the A1 to York. If you drive up on the Saturday & stop over we can all get together for a beer or 2 :)

Ok seems like a plan... I am hoping its dry and then has damp sections for my on limit testing. November weather should oblige.

There must be more of you wanting to spank your Porsches around a track laid out on a huge airfield with nothing to hit? Where else can you practise those 4 wheel drifts

Dude sounds like a good idea.. I'll see if I can get Gilbert in his 'new' 3.0 along. I am sure he will want to get the most out himself and his car. :)

Try my best to get the car sorted by then, it will definately need some enthusiastic driving to get everything settled in. Trouble is I'm on holiday for 2 of the 5 weeks leading up to this, and the MOT is also due. But I WILL try my best. If not, the 914 will be up for it.
