Hi, do the 68-70 cars share the same distributor drive? I'm looking for a cheap donor distributor to go on an 1970 crankshaft and there's a 1968 Marelli available. Just wondering if it'll have the appropriate drive gear.

I believe they change on later cars and even go in the opposite direction in the 1980s but as far as I know this will be compatible.

Yes, the drive gear for Bosch & Marelli distributors is the same - many owners over the years replaced their Marelli distributor with a Bosch one due to the scarcity of replacement rotor arms/caps/points for the Marelli units.

Any 911 distributor (prior to the introduction of the 2.4 models) with the 27mm diameter shaft will fit.
