WH Smiths: impact on magazine industry?

With Smith's closing the high street stores, where will the more obscure magazines and papers find an outlet?
The massive range of magazines in even the small local smiths is vast, so spontaneous purchasers (ie me) will not find a choice soon.

Speak to Bootsy and KS, they seem to have no trouble obtaining their obscure magazines……………

It will be a big miss! It is the only shop in our local town that carries such a vast array of magazines. Being a magazine addict it is good to browse and I have often bought random issues of various mags. I tend to subscribe to 911 and Porsche World/classic porsche but the rest are usually random purchases. I do often wonder who buys some of the multitude of mags but we all have different interests!

Glad to see this thread got back to Uncle Keith again - he certainly does have different interests. I’m amazed how he comes up with some of his fetishes - quite the imagination

I see the owner of HMV is interested in buying some/all of the stores.
