What's the general feeling about car covers when used in a dry garage?

Just had a conversation with a car painter who is anti car covers and said that it is better to leave the car uncovered in a dry garage as whatever the cover is made of the car will still sweat to some degree.

I currently use an Autopyjama internal cover made of a lightweight material with a fleece inner which I thought was fine - car parked in a garage with a dehumidifier running constantly.

I have a light cover on mine just to keep dust off but I'm sure an argument can be made for not having one

Same here. Dry, draughty garage with car under a thin & loose fitting soft cover.

+1 for Classic Additions covers. I had indoor and outdoor versions, well made and good quality.

Never liked them … and when I have had them , there was nothing more Depressing than walking into the garage and seeing a large car shaped blob rather than the car itself

I think I'll stick with the cover as it offers protection from scrapes in the garage and as it's an indoor fabric type I can't personally see it sweating up.

If you do work of all sorts in the garage then the car needs a cover of some sort. I love seeing the 911 each time I go into the space, but the garage is used a lot and the car gets covered in sticky dust.
Might have to claybar the car soon and rewax for the winter because of not covering it.

I tend to cover mine with cardboard boxes, random tools, kids toys, and anything else that I need out the way in the garage. It’s the right height to make a good table
