Porsche 911 Alternator SEV Marchal 71223702 55A
I bought this alternator for my 911 about 3 years ago, from a chap who had bought it for his 911 but sold it before he ever installed it. I am in the position where my 911 will be another 5 years (full restoration) before I will need an alternator, so I might as well sell it rather than sit instorage for another 5 years.
I think it is a 55A model, but i don't know what years it will fit, i think 1970 to 1974, I am happy to take any measurements you need. There is a A01048 part number, but I cant cross reference this to anything. The only part number I can cross reference to is 712 237 02
The nut is 24mm
As you can see it look almost brand new. It has never been installed BUT if you look carefully you can see that some of the wire insulation looks like it might be breaking down, and the best thing to do will be to have it checked over by an alternator shop (or yourself if you able to) and either just replace the insulation on the wires or have it re-built again.
It could be ok as is, but why take the risk, better to have a shop check it over.
I didnt know how to price it. So i will just throw a number out, £100 + £9.50 postage (Courier) for UK, payment by paypal friends and family. I am in cornwall if you would like to collect. If you feel the price is off the mark, make an offer. I will need 3 - 5 days to pack and send.
