Small Holes in my push rod tube, 912

Hi guys,

I ran the car in my garage at the weekend and noticed an odd spray of oil on the floor. Not loads but got my attention. On inspection I can see two small holes on one of the push rod tubes. Any ideas on a solution other than replacing the tube? If not then what do you guys think the damage will be to get it changed?

Many thanks in advance,

Stu.

Common design here from Design911 here.
Have used 2 in the distant past, work well.
Lubricate the large O rings to help installation!

Can be bought as singles too.

:joker: Stick a bit of exhaust repair tape over it if you don't want to start taking stuff apart! :joker:

Stupid question but can you fit these without removing the heads? By taking the valve rocker off and pulling the pushrod?

I think all of the designs allow the old tube to be dragged out of the engine block/heads, cleaned, and the new tube collapsed (shortened) and on end inserted into the O rind recess and then to tease the other end into the head recess. The spring or circlip holds the located tube to the correct length.

Not the easiest job, but so much better than stripping a head off...

Thank you. That video demonstrates why I don't even try to set the valves on my 914 but can do on the 356 in 20 mins with rising the car!!
