Old Belt Driven Lathe (Available F.O.C.) a Piece of History !

Post by Cortina »

The Downsizing / De-Cluttering Continues : This will NOT fit in the boot of your Fiat 126. It was given to me a number of years ago - it has passed through about three of my friends over the last 40 years , so I would like to see it going to a good home that will love it and use it. An Engineer friend of mine originally converted it so it can be run off it's existing single phase electric motor - rather that an industrial steam powered or water powered set up that it has, when made ? It's a Danish Made machine which I think dates to about the 1940's. Well made and engineered and is not "light and handy" to move ..... but I got it in there , so should be able to get it out again !
(First come first served .... I have only one !)

Needless to say . it's in sunny N Ireland , so it's a van / car & trailer job for any uk mainland based folks - which makes it no longer free ..... but it is what it is . I can take key measurements for anyone who needs to know . It will not dismantle and load in 20 minutes.
Royal Enfield .. still in India
GL 1800 Tour DCT, for pleasure / Fantic 240 Professional - play
Rally 911 (1966) build parked for a while
Rally 928 (work started again - inc serious weight loss programe !)
.... and now another VW Up GTI owner.
