March ‘66 911 project

Post by streetwagens »

Completed on 25th March 1966, this 911 left the factory with the nice combination of slate grey over red interior. It was delivered to PoAC Teaneck and left to live in Stamford Connecticut. It comes with USA title and is on the NOVA system having been imported via Kingstown shipping by a friend of mine a few years ago.

It will need all the usual low down welding, so bank on inner and outer sills, front pan, kidney bowls, some pillar work, and the usual floors, pretty standard for a SWB car these days. A new floor has been screwed up underneath prior to shipping.

It is pretty complete bar the engine- a later short block is included to help the project along. A lot of the trim is there and is very useable as is, missing some sill and bumper trim though. The dashboard has most of the wood, gauges and stalks are there, but some switchgear has been removed prior to import. Correct seats are included. All in all it’s a great project that’s a hard to find colour combination these days, and would be amazing as a start of a full restoration or a patina survivor build. Asking £45k. More than welcome to come and take a look at it, it’s at my place near Swansea, 10 mins from J46 of the M4.

Timing any better yet? Massive price drop to £30k as I need space, my 1950 van and rhd 65 911 are now both back and I need space to work around them Image
