Early steering wheel fitment to later SC?

I’m trying to fit an early steering wheel to an SC backdate. The splines are the same so no problem there.
But what have others done to get around the different horn contact arrangement and also the gap to the cowling?
I have a hockey puck for the centre
Any help / ideas appreciated.
Cheers
Jon

I've done this - will try and find that part of my thread
I had a column extender for momo steering wheels and was able to use that as a jig to drill the holes correctly

Bottom half of the page
I seem to remember after I'd done it Andy lightweight suggested I could have done it differently so have a look at what he suggested as well

Nescafe lid painted matt black was how an ex's father solved that problem on some kit car he had.

I used a cut down steering rack boot to hide the gap on my 914.
