But I'd like to recount a recent incident where I would praise them for their efficiency......

Jan 4th 2024 I sent all relevant documents to DLVA for a car I'd recently bought, an import that had been on these shores for 8+ years unregistered.

Jan 15th 2024 received letter from DVLA telling me to phone the vehicle inspector after 24hrs to book inspection.

Jan 17th called inspectors and arranged visit by inspector to my property , appointment was arranged for 23/1/2024.

Jan 23rd Inspector called mid morning telling me he'd be arriving within half an hour. He did, and inspected the car ,had a brief polite conversation then left.

Jan 29th I received a letter from DVLA giving me me the age related reg number for the car and informing me that the V5C, (Log book to us oldies) would arrive within 4 weeks. it arrived today, 2 days after giving me the reg number.

In my book, having dealt with DLVA numerous times before, is excellent service especially given the Christmas holiday was barely over.

cheers

Ian
