Now sold

The time has come to put my Sepia brown 1972 911T/E (Oelklappe) up for sale. It’s a matching numbers, 90% original paint car with a warmed up MFI engine.

Manufactured in May 1972 and delivered in June 1972 to UH San Antonio to a Doctor there. In the early 80’s it was bought and spent the rest is its USA life in San Diego (being sold between father and son) before being imported into the UK.

I bought the car in 2008, I bought it because of its originality (patina), there are sun blemishes, door dings etc but I really liked that honesty in the car. The body is mostly original with only the rear quarter having been repaired (in the late 80’s), this car isn’t a show car and it wears its 50 years with pride! Due to it honesty its been featured in 3 magazines (2 buying guides).
In my ownership, its always been maintained at any cost and always garaged. I have done the following since owning it:
Front shocks upgraded to Bilstein HD // Rears are Bilstein Sport
19mm front roll bar
Superpro Bushes on the rear spring plates / torsion bar pivot
Replaced engine mounts
Rebuilt pedal cluster
Replaced selector bushes
Replace track rod ends

5500 miles ago the engine was rebuilt by Steve Monk (THE BODY WERKES), after a slip in the MFI pump pully. Whilst it was open it had the following work done:
86mm JE pistons with Cryogenically treated cylinders (Supertech)
Kent custom grind cams – E+ specish
Heads are standard MFI T size (I30 / E32)
MFI pump cleaned and recalibrated to E spec (M Burgess) including space cam
Oil bypass mod with Supertech 4 rib oil pump (908 style)
ARP Head bolts
ARP Rod bolts
Balanced rods and crank
New flywheel
New valves, guides, springs
New tensioners, ramps and chains
Turbo Thomas exhaust (one out)
Nick at Redtek did the MFI dialling in and it made 209hp on their dyno (with print out), it makes for a great torquey engine.

Also in the last 18 months the car has had:
New seals on callipers
3 new copper brake pipes
New discs all-round
New MFI fuel filer
New front pads
New master cylinder
New battery
High torque starter motor

And within the last 150 miles
Gearbox shaft re-alignment
New Sachs clutch
New boot and bonnet struts
4 x new tyres

The interior has been slightly modified, I replaced the standard seats with BF Torino Nürburgring recliners, recovered with brown vinyl and brown check (original standard seats will come with car)
A set of coco mats in Jasp were bought (also have the original ones too).
A 380mm wheel with repro puck was also added (have original 400mm with original center).

The car isn’t a show car and there is some bubbling on the body work, happy to send pictures, but as I say floors etc are solid. The rear center panel is wrapped currently to hide two cut outs. I still have the original center panel which is a little dented, but also have a new aluminum center panel (still in box) that I bought from restoration design.

If you are looking for a genuine car which wears it heart on its sleeve, this is it!

I’m located in Glasgow, happy to pick anyone up from the airport, train etc.

I’m looking for £65,000. I’m not in any hurry to sell it and am happy to store it away if need be, so please no low ball offers. Feel free to message me for more info or photos, I will also run a thread in the market place discussion.

The photos below are a collection of what I have!
