Peanuts wanted

Post by RobFrost »

Headrests wanted for 1970 car - apparently peanuts would be correct. Condition doesn't matter - in fact the worse the better probably as I'll reupholster them.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

.

Peanut headrests are correct for '72/'73 model seats
- unless the car had sport seats in leather whereby D-shaped headrest were used.

A '70 911 with Recaro 'comfort' seats would have had D-shaped headrests.

Thanks. 1970 car. But I have 1972 seats I think, black hinges with sharks' fin release on the top. So I guess I could get correct for the seats or the car?

Hi Rob

I have a set of both D shape and peanut headrests both in excellent condition, however As you know, I’m selling my rhd ‘72 car, and I want to give the buyer a chance to buy the mint recaro sports seats I have, with a choice of headrests. Whichever they don’t want, I’ll have a matching set to sell. I can come back to you on those and the other bits you were interested in. Another option is to call Paul and team and Karmann Konnection as they might have some.
