Hi I am trying to contact the current owner of this vehicle.
I know it sold at auction in 2013 & the purchaser John Woodget died in a car accident.
Any information please.

My understanding is that this project was being taken forward by the purchasers son after the tragic circumstances surrounding his father. This is old news and could well be out of date and there may be others on here who have more up to date information.

Regards
Mike

It's a long shot but you could try Shorade in Cannock. They had an early red 911 in there for a while, just restored. If I remember correctly the owner had died and his son completed the restoration (Shorade did the work). They did a mint job and it cost a lot of money but if I remember correctly it was done like a track car inside rather than full interior etc.

I'm sure there was a post on here from John's son posting a updated about him taking the restoration on after his father's death.

The Shorade car appears briefly in this video. It's D reg but different number plate, looks like UGA 870D

Different car I think Rob, LYY 911D is still listed on DVLA car check and appears to still be in state off roadness. UGA 870D doesn't even ping up DVLA so has probably left the country or it was just on show plates.

If there are two in the UK where the restorer died and son carried it forward I'll be sure never to buy a red D reg 911 for restoration.

.

They can't be the same cars since UCA 870D was first registered in Jan 1966 - there was no 911S model at that stage ...

I’ve seen a few of these date ‘guesstimates’ on the DVLA look up system, seems they defaulted to Jan quite a lot from 1963-1967, not sure why.
