Hi
Can anyone please confirm the correct part for a UK 1970 coupe, it appears there are 2 different types of door lock panels:

one that appears to be flat at the top, 1965-1971
Image

one with ‘dish’ at the top 1971-1989

Cheers

The dish is for the oil filler flap release button introduced in ‘72MY, so late ‘71 build.

My assumption based on that is your earlier car would have had the flat sectioned panel.

It should be flat. The dish is for the oil tank flap on 72 my. Porsche also used them on 73 my, and their replacement panels also have the dish. I've just had a genuine Porsche panel fitted to my 1970 911e and had to have the dish taken out.

Very original LHD Karmann built 1970T from the desert state of New Mexico. Flat top section.
