DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Hi all looking for some advice in choosing bushings for my 1969. The car is stock all round , i have been advised i should go superpro / rennline etc . Im interested what the ddk community thinks of this subject.

I went for Elephant standard rubber on front a arms and rear swing and have been happy with the results.

I went Porsche and elephant rubber. Also happy.

I put soft nylon bushes all round my car in 1989 as it was to become a road/hillclimb car.
Drove great.
Over the years I have gone back to stock rubber everywhere except the rear torsion bar/plate bushes and banana arm bushes. Both are still the original plastic after 70K miles and still perfect.Annual maintenance in March every year has been to 'wash' them by spraying with WD40 to remove road grit, then to add 5 good drops of oi to the 4 external bushes and also the best I can to the internal spring arm bushes. I work the oil in by jacking the car rear up and dropping it to the ground as fast as the jack will allow. do that 5 times to work the oil in over the full suspension travel.

Do nothing elsewhere.

Going back to rubber seemed to make no difference to the car, just a nicer ride but I do not hill climb it any more.

I just thought they came bonded to the new spring plate part . Does anyone have a part
Number for it also where’s the best place to get elephant racing products.

Direct from site,or Design 911.Or you can get same at Rebel Racing for less money.However, you will wait for order to fufilled.Clint at RR Takes time.

I’ve got elephant poly bronze on my car … been on for I think well over 12 years now with no problems. Great stiction free movement.

These days I’d probably opt for no regular maintenance option of rebel racing ones ( I’ve got some front ones in my cupboard ready to fit if and when my front polybronzes ever need replacing )

Funnt How Elephant is "hyped" that much , they buy funny enough most there bushings in Slovenia from the company Prekom
who make the best , and are sold by most in Euorpe

Interesting.

I’ve contacted them for a quote for a pair of adjustable rear plates with bushes, so I’ll report back.

As I know they dont sell to privat only throught there resellers

I know restoration design in Holland have them and prices on his EU website

And i am sure they have a reseller in UK too , suprised if not
